With over 25 years of experiences in professional and commercial environments, Sarine leads local and overseas engagements in a variety of industries, focusing mainly on sustainability reporting, corporate governance, compliance, internal controls reviews and internal audit engagements.
Sarine specialises in areas relating to sustainability and integrated reporting advisory, corporate governance advisory. She has assisted the public listed companies to develop, implement and conduct Sustainability (ESG) educational training, as well as upgrading the integrated reporting system to improving the reporting processes. Besides conducting sustainability related assessments, she gives advices on the sustainability program objectives, progress for listed companies to comply with policies, standard, and regulations. She has involved in developing the sustainability framework to help the listed companies to align their strategies and operations with evolvement of ESG and key performance indicators (“KPI”). She collaborates with the listed companies to maintain the knowledge of ESG engagement in creating value for the companies. Her experiences covers the recommendation of disclosures in public listed companies’ annual reports, covering various types of industries too.
Sarine conducted non-recurring assignments which audits / investigation covering possible fraud, breach of regulatory requirements or critical non-compliance with internal control policies and procedures. She facilitated the reviews of companies with specific business processes e.g. outsourced service provider review for asset management companies to ensure compliance with regulatory and/or contractual requirements. Sarine has frequently involved the internal controls review for public listed companies to improve their productivity and simplify business processes and risk management for companies seeking listing in Malaysia. She led and completed engagements in Malaysia, China, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, United Kingdom and United States of America for the listed companies.
